Review for Walking in Trust by Gayle Irwin

Ask anyone who has been blessed with various pets throughout their lifetime and they will speak of one who was special in some way. Often it is of a horse that protected its rider or a cat that would come to be petted only by the sick or hurting. Sometimes it is just of a dog that would listen as if it truly understood.

Gayle Irwin in her book, Walking in Trust, shares many stories of Sage; who was blind, but still that one special dog to her. She speaks of the many lessons God taught her through Sage and how she could be more like the person God wanted her to be. She talks of many tender moments that mirror those experienced by pet owners everywhere such as: a contented sigh, loving look or moment of sheer, unbridled joy shown by their beloved pet at just the right moment to be appreciated and cherished. In this memoir she offers thirty brief lessons that were passed on to her through Sage to bless the lives of others as God blessed hers. Walking in Trust is an encouraging signpost along that narrow, winding road in our walk with Christ and a reason to have a whole new appreciation of that four-legged being that awaits us at home.
